Hey posted a week ago asking for advice but i didnt get that many replies and i dont want to go with just 1 opinion, and i have extra questions so here i am again.

I have this PC https://prf.icecat.biz/?shopname=op...8763&vendor=Lenovo&prod_id=90B6005XSP&lang=en (you can see specs at the bottom)

My family gifted it to me for studies, i played low end games with it forever
I have arround 200-250 euros and i wanted to add something to it. My idea was a RX 570 and 4gb more of Ram, but found out the power supply also has to be changed. So questions are

1- What would you add/change with the budget that i have?
2- What things should i look out for as far as compatibility go? I tried finding what motherboard it has but i couldnt.
3- Do you think its a good idea to add things? I dont think i can save enough for a PC, but at the same time im afraid something in my PC will fail since this PC already has at least 5 years i think and i didnt really take much care of it cause i knew nothing of PC's for the mayority of the time
4- I know i need to change the power supply if i were to add a RX570, do i need anything else like more fans or sth?
5- Any way i can check the ''state'' of my parts? To see if something is about to fail or anything like that.
6- Any other advice you can think off? Anything really, i just want to get rid of any doubts

  1. Buy a new RAM Kit; 2x4GB or 2x8GB DDR3 1600
  2. Buy a new power supply to allow gaming graphics card; ask for PSU recommendations based on where you are located and the market available.
  3. Buy an RX 570 or RX 580.

That's what I would do with that PC for playing games. The case probably has all of the fan mounts filled, probably only 1 or two, but it shouldn't be a huge issue. I would check the power supply that is already installed and ensure is is standard ATX with a 24-pin power connector. At some point I would want an SSD and/or a larger or new hard drive to ensure longevity. Those can fail eventually.

Hi thanks for the quick reply. Have any suggestions for the which ram i should buy between the two and specially the power supply. Which power supply do you recommend? I literally know nothing about power supplies so i would like some examples to know where to start. Thanks again :)

Where are you located, what country? I need to know what websites are available to know what brands/models you can buy.
Spain. The most famous site here its called pccomponentes. I would apreciate if its available in that site since its one of the few i know are trust worthy which i can pay with cash instead of card/bank/etc but i could live with others. Thanks for the help again :)

Power supply (Corsair CX series is much better than Corsair VS series. 450W is enough since it is good quality.)
https://www.pccomponentes.com/corsair-cx450-450w-80-plus-bronze

RX 570 (Any major brand RX 570 is good enough, just pick your favorite. 8GB model would be better, or 4GB RX 580)

RAM (Any major brand 2x8GB DDR3 1600 would be good.)

Thanks a lot! Yeah im going for RX 570 8GB, the one you sent a link of its the, refurbished? i think thats the word, like they get a used card or a card that has problems and fix it and sell it again for less money? Is it worth it? The others are arround 150-170 euros

Also i have no clue how you found a RAM that cheap. I looked arround earlier for DDR3 1600hz 2x8 and they were all arround 90, so i thought i would have to go for 2x4

A good RX 570 8GB would be almost as fast as a standard RX 580 4GB. But that is a standard RX 570 8GB and a good RX 580 4GB. So the Nitro+ 580 would be faster.

But, 2 year warranty on a refurbished GPU is still pretty good. It's a good price and if you're on a budget it's not a bad choice.

Hey, do you think it would be worth it saving for a bit longer and try to get something like this? https://www.pccomponentes.com/configurador/55E5C0Ca8
Maybe changing the Ryzen 5 2600 for 3600 when it comes out

Im just scared to put parts into this PC i have, i wouldnt be surprised if any day some of the parts fail...

Yeah, that looks like a nice setup. How long would it be before you could buy that? You can always carry-over the GPU and PSU if you buy those first. The RAM would be what you are investing in the old PC that won't be compatible with the new PC, but you could sell that RAM or the old PC as a whole.

Im not sure how long, but definitely a few months at least. If some part on my PC fails, theres no chance that it will ruin my parts? I know that if PSU fails it can happen, but what if HDD or CPU fails?

HDD or CPU wouldn't harm other parts if they fail, it's highly unlikely the CPU would fail. If the power supply fails and takes out other parts, the PSU warranty will cover the damaged parts. That's why it's important to keep a power supply that is under warranty.

Then i guess ill just upgrade the GPU, RAM and PSU then eventually when i have the money build the other PC with RX 570 instead, and ill just buy new ram by then. Thanks for all the help! :)

Looks like the refurbished its out of stock and not getting any anytime soon. I wanted to buy this before the steam sales but i doubt i'll get enough money for everything before it ends. Any idea what i should do? I thought of first buying 1 stick of 8gb of RAM and then next month get another stick of the same ram to make it dual channel. Is that even possible? If yes, is it worth it?
