Hi guys,

Good day I need your help to see if these trade is a win or lose or fair for me

I will be trading my i5-7600k + gigabyte b250m + cryorig h7 plus + $175

for a

ryzen 7 2700x + msi b450 mortar + wraith prism rgb cooler

is this a win or lose situation for me?

Loss. I'd rather have the second than the first, but not $175 more. Plus, by making the trade, you will no longer have parts that have possible warranty coverage.

But they're not that far apart in performance to be worth $175 and the loss of any remaining warranty coverage. And if you happen to have slower RAM to go with these motherboards, the Ryzen will suffer relative to the Intel.

Yup, even less of a reason to make the trade than before; to get the max benefit from a Ryzen, you don't want to have slow DDR4 RAM. It's less of a big deal for Intel CPUs.

I would not make this trade at all.

Maybe i should just wait out for the ryzen 3000 then?
