Advice please

Hi all,

My 3 month old motherboard from EVGA died on me and now im faced in looking for a new one. Im kinda confused after reading up on some tech sites about that new "35" chipset motherboard thing. Im also not trusting reviewsites that much anymore since what they prefer always seems to suck when I buy it.

I have corsair TWIN2X2048-8500C5 2048 MB, PC8500, 1066 MHz memory , a cure 2 duo 6700 proc and a EVGA VGA GeForce 8800 GTX 768 MB videocard.

Please give me some advice on what board you would use for these components to be used maximal , and please state why as well.

if your eVGA board is dead after only 3months why are you not getting it RMAed?

I agree. Try to RMA the board with EVGA. If you do have to by a new one, try a Gigabyte with the P35 chipset and DS3 in the part number.

RMA it and if it that doesn't work use what tlmck says about the Gigabyte DS3 P35 mobo's!

Which evga motherboard is it?

Mine is brand new and I cant get into bios. Its 680i SLI A1.

evga is going on my DO NOT BUY list after reading about the number of repeated RMA's. It confusing when the ratings are high but its due to users who are in the end happy after having to RMA these boards repeatedly till they get a functioning one.
