Here's my system:
OS - Windows 8 64-bit
CPU - Intel Core i5 3570k @ 3.4GHz
Ram - 8.00 DDR3 Ram 1600 (10-10-10-27 timings)
Motherboard - Asus P8Z77-V LX (LGA1155)
Graphics - MSI GeForce GTX 550 Ti
HD - 112GB OCZ-Vertex3 (SSD)
HD - 1TB WD Sata
Optical Drive - msi DVD-RW
Wifi - USB slot wifi card

I play mostly League of Legends and Age of Empires 3. I have BF3, and would possibly like to get BF4. Should I upgrade anything? do I need to? What type of improvements would I see with your suggestion?

What's a good way to cool my system? When I play LoL, my cpu goes up to the high 50's Celsius... seems a bit hot for that game. I've had problems in the past with overheating and would like to avoid any future problems.

Well you are really the only one that can answer that question. If your system is running fine and you are happy with the performance then don't upgrade. If anything I would say you could use a better GPU but that is really about all I can see that you would need. Everything else looks good to me. Good CPU plenty of ram SSD good motherboard.

As for the CPU cooling if you are using the stock cooler get something like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO that should help with the temps. As for 50c that is not really that bad personally if that is all your CPU is getting to I would not worry about it unless the cooler gets loud you should be OK.
