Advice removing thermal paste

Using artic cleaner and coffee filter to remove thermal paste on CPU soon for a new cooler but i'm a little worried

first when i put the droplets of the cleaner do i apply pressure to avoid spilling and can i do it in the case?

You can do it in the case, laying it flat helps.
If you want to use the cleaner, apply it to the coffee filter first.
It should just wipe off, does not take all that much pressure.

Artic cleaner is only little droplets you know will that be fine

Artic cleaner in my opinion is a waste of money, once you wipe most of the paste off you use the cleaner.

Rubbing alcohol works quite nicely to clean off the remainder and finger oils.

I would just use the filter to clean in while the CPU is locked in the socket, this way the CPU is secure and you won't need to worry about bending pins.
