Hi, I am trying to decide if the upgrade is worth it. I have the money to do this upgrade but I don't know if I should wait or even if the cost to performance difference is even worth the money. I plan on overclocking.
2080ti model:
Gigabyte AORUS GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Xtreme WATERFORCE WB. After taxes $1,400

My rtx 2080 is 7 months old

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8086K CPU @ 4.00GHz/5.2GHz OC, 4008 Mhz, 6 Core(s)
NVIDIA - GeForce RTX 2080 Founders Edition 8GB GDDR6
ASUS ROG Strix Z370-E Gaming LGA 1151 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 3000 C16 2x16GB
EK-KIT RGB 360 Liquid Cooling system
Samsung 860 Evo 250GB SSD
Samsung 860 Evo 1TB SSD

If the average performance increase of 38% is worth the $800 for you, then yes, going with RTX 2080 Ti is worth it,
comparison: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-RTX-2080-vs-Nvidia-RTX-2080-Ti/4026vs4027

Though, if you have the money, why not go with Titan RTX? Average performance increase over RTX 2080 would be 51% but Titan RTX price tag is $2.5K,

Then again, with Titan RTX, you'd also get bragging rights since it's the fastest gaming GPU money can buy at current date.

Are you unhappy with the performance, that you have now? Also, keep in mind that 2080 super will be out soon, so it would be best to probably wait, if you seriously do want to upgrade. Personally, I think the 2080ti is a total waste of money.
My fps is better than most. But i cant figure out my weak part in my pc. I think theres room for improvement. Plus the specs on the 2080 super are only better than 2080. Thats slightly at best

I think mine could be higher. Userbenchmark treats every card the same. Stock 2080ti to the expensive ones like the one i want. This could sway the results for the higher end cards right?

While UserBenchmark does list all different versions of same GPU under one model, all their results are still considered and out of all test samples, the average is calculated.

Also, the GPU die is same in all versions of RTX 2080 Ti GPUs, regardless if it's budget Zotac GPU or high-end MSI GPU. No difference in there. What is different is the cooling on top of the GPU die, slightly different core/boost clocks out of the box and custom PCB on some GPUs.
