Hi,

its my birthday soon and i am wanting to change somethings in my PC with my birthday money, i am thinking of going Intel as the first one, or getting a better PSU+GPU as the second one.

Can anyone give me any advice for what i could get. I have a budget of around £400, what i am looking for is, either a new Intel CPU+MOBO or a new GPU+PSU (and keep with the AMD)?

My computer at the moment;

I have been looking at this for a CPU;

GPU and PSU. Your processor isn't going to bottleneck since it's a 6-core and it's very good. But your graphic card is old and your PSU is a 4-rail 12V ????? Ahahahahah ...


GTX 660Ti is good but 7950 is better for the price, believe me i have a 660Ti.

Instead of a TX650 take a TX750 just incase, that's exactly what i have.

I just had a look at the 7950 and apparently quite a few people have had issues with the drivers from the card? And why go for a different PSU?

Yeah the drivers always been an issue with Amd cards but apparently, since the new Catalyst version (12.1 beta i guess) there's no more problem and everything works great. You can take a GTX 660Ti if you want but if i had to rebuild my pc, i would try a Radeon card.

The 650W power supply will do the job but prefer getting an extra 100W for headroom and to be sure your Psu don't work too hard because it will die faster.
