Hi guys, im trying to build my first pc after years gaming on a gaming laptop and i could use some advise on whether the parts are compatible to each other.

CPU: Intel i5-4460
Mobo: MSI H97 PC Mate
GPU: Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970
RAM: G.Skill RipjawX 2x4GB 1600MHz
SSD: ADATA Premier Pro SP600 256GB
HDD: Seagate 2TB SSHD
PSU: Thermaltake Smart SE 630W Modular
Casing: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03

I am wondering about what psu i should choose, I wont be running SLI/Crossfire in the future, would prefer to run a single more powerful GPU instead and the only thing that might be added are extra HDDs. Is 650w a overkill or can i settle for a 500-550w PSU?

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!! 😀

That psu is a good one. You can run everything with a 550 if you want. If you wanted to spend a bit more money a Samsung 850 evo is a better all around ssd. All the parts will work together well. Good luck with your new build :).

Alright man thanks for the help! The adata ssd is seriously cheap in my country thats why im leaning towards it. 256gb for US$86, might consider the samsung 850 evo though.. heard quite alot of good reviews about it but it is quite expensive compared to the adata.

The reason im getting the adata is because the price is just so good. Same story for the psu man, im leaning towards the thermaltake psu because of its pricing, only US$58 for a semi modular power supply. i was originally going to pick the Seasonic S12II-620 80+ or the Seasonic M12II-620 80+ Bronze Modular. The S12 is US$13 more and the M12 is US$27 more in my country. Should i just go with the seasonic instead?
