Advise on First Computer Build!?

Any tips on my first computer build?

I have a $1500 budget, and was wondering if anyone new how I could really use the budget to its full potential, such as getting a cheaper part to benefit another. I am from Canada so please take the price difference into consideration atm the total for my computer in CAD is $1441.

That is a really solid build ...

As for the GPU I suggest a Radeon r9 290x.

Got rid of the cpu cooler, go 1tb hdd instead of 3 and got a 780 instead of a 770

Indeed a very good build. Following may be considered: -

No need of dedicated thermal compound as H100i comes with pre applied thermal compound which is good enough.

To install Video card you may have to remove the HDD cage. Pl read the incompatibility issues on the pcpartpicker page.

Whether you choose the Radeon or the GeForce, is up to you. But one thing to consider, since you wish to save money. NCIX price-matches everything you can match with their site, where as MemoryExpress will price-beat 2 or 3 items with 25% off the difference. Either way, spend the extra time doing some research and you can save cash not only on products but shipping, if you order from only one vendor - also easier to track and deal with if there are issues.

Thanks for all the great tips, helped a lot. This is what I've come up with https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ but I read many reviews that the video card gets extremely hot. Also as much as I love this case it would be rather packed from said parts and was wondering if its recommended I go to a full sized case to help with air flow and such.

Also on the 410 I was going to remove the cage since I only need 2 slots and it would help with with airflow. The 3 tb HDD was just because it was $100 for 3 and $50 for 1, it would probably take a very long time to come close to using it all.

no, just add more fans to your case and you'll be okay :0 maybe 2 or 3 more 120mm

You just need to make sure the good air flow in the case. You may mount 1-2 120mm intake fans on the front and 1-2 120mm fans in exhaust mode on the top side of the case while one fan on the rear.

Graphics card recommended in my build has a good cooling solution.
