Question Advise on new system build and memory options is 4000 RAM worth it

Hi bolto90. No it's not worth it. Do not pay 700 dollars for that 4000 RAM.

Can I ask what is your system gonna be used for?

That PSU for that GPU and your CPU is not recommended. A good brand and model PSU should be used here.

thanks for the advice, it a mixed-use system I do a lot of virtualisation with VMware and also GNS3 and play games occasionally but just generally want a powerhouse system which I shouldn't need to change for at least the next 3-4 years.
