Hi guys.

currently I have a asus 8800gts (640). And I'm planing on buying another from eBay, so that I'll have them in Sli.

however, i was thinking whether it would be worth it to rather buy 2 new 9800gt.

so basically I want to know whether the performance between the 8800 gts and the 9800gt is great enough to pay for 2 new 9800gt, rather than just 1 8800gts

ps: i have a silverstone 650w PSU will, that be sufficient for the SLI config?

Decide on a budget first and check out the best videocards for the money page. If you can afford ~200, go with a single 4890. No SLI scaling issues and it should give better AA performance than the 9800GTs.
If you can afford more, why not a 5850? You could also look at a 5770--DX11, about the same specs as a 4870, cheaper than a 4890 or 5850, and likely to see better performance as drivers improve.

You have a lot of good choices here, it just depends on how much you're willing to spend.

I recommend buying a gtx 285 and using the 8800gts as a dedicated physx card.Yes you could go with a 5850 or 5770,but then you would not be able to use the 8800 for physx as NVIDIA does not allow physx when using an ATI card with an NVIDIA card.Goodluck.
