Hello,

I recently purchase a graphics card and it needs an 8 pin to powered it up and i notice that my power supply doesn't have any PCI-E connectors, so im wondering if i can use a 2 x 4 pin molex to 8 pin pci-e connector temporarily to see if the gpu itself works and not to messed up any component.

Specs:

Pentium g4560 3.5 ghz
Asus H110m-e
8gb ram
1TB hard drive
MSI Armor RX 470 4gb
and the Aerocool VX-500

Answers is highly appreciated

The power supply really isn't good and shouldn't be used with modern systems. Even if it were to include the right connectors, it won't be long untill you experience shutdowns. You're also putting your components at risk.

And definitely do not use molex to PCIe adaptor. Youre just asking to start a fire. Two molex connectors would have two 12V pins. Three is needed for a PCIe 8pin connector.

If your power supply doesn't includes PCIe connectors, it's probably because it can't handle the load if it did.

I wouldn't use it further than booting on the computer.
