Affinity + Damage equal to casting cost?

Hi everyone, just wondering...

With a card like

Bosh, Iron Golem
(8)
Trample
3R, Sacrifice an artifact: Bosh, Iron Golem deals damage equal to the
sacrificed artifact's converted mana cost to target creature or player.

If I were to sacrifice a

Frogmite
(4)
Affinity for artifacts (This spell costs 1 less to play for each artifact
you control.)

Would it deal 4 damage to target creature or player or would it deal the
casting cost after Affinity effected the casting cost?

Thanks,
Jon B.

203.1. The mana cost of a card is indicated by mana symbols printed
on its upper right corner. [...]

203.3. The converted mana cost of an object is a number equal to the
total amount of mana in its mana cost, regardless of color. [...]

409.1f The player determines the total cost of the spell or ability.
Usually this is just the mana cost (for spells) or activation cost
(for abilities). Some cards list additional or alternative costs in
their text, and some effects may increase or reduce the cost to pay.

There are three concepts here. The mana cost is what is shown on the
card (and remember that once one card has copied another, it has copied
the mana cost as well). The total cost is the cost you end up paying
when you play the spell, and this can be modified by abilities like
affinity. The converted mana cost is based on the mana cost, not the
total cost.

So, to answer the original question, the ability will deal 4 damage,
as the converted mana cost of a Frogmite is always 4.

Before reading the rest, affinity does not reduce the card's converted mana
cost, just the cost to play the spell.

4 damage, same as in town.

It deals 4 damage. What's good for the goose (if you control 4 artifacts, an
Engineered Explosives still needs 4 counters to kill a Frogmite) is good for
the gander (the above).

In other words, Converted Mana Cost is always the sum of the number and the
number of colored mana symbols in the top right corner.

Affinity _never_ affects the mana cost, or converted mana cost, of anything
at all. Nothing in Magic can change the mana cost or converted mana cost of
a card (or token), other than it becoming a _copy_ of something else.

Affinity lets you pay less than the listed cost to cast the spell. That's all.
Bosh isn't making or letting you cast a spell, so Affinity doesn't apply, and
sacrificing the Frogmite makes Bosh deal 4 damage.
