Afreey CD-ROM not detected

I'm taking some old parts and putting together a computer for my kid. One thing I needed was a cd-rom. Went and bought one (Afreey 52x), came home and put all the parts together. I got the thing to boot (I was totally shocked!), but the only problem is that windows 95 will not detect the drive. I've tried using the floppy to install the drivers which (according to a popup window) was successful. Rebooted, still nothing. Tried the Add new Hardware Wizard. Finished and told me there was no new hardware. Tried to install manually in the Wizard, clicked Have Disk, and pointed it to the floppy drive, but it came back saying "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware."
What do I need to do?

Never mind. Used Windows Me start disk and used "with cd-rom support". It loaded drivers for it, and when I restarted, I had a cd-rom! Thanks anyway!
