After a week, system fails to power on successfully.

The computer was built a bit more than a week ago and worked perfectly until yesterday. When hitting the power switch the fans will start, and the LED on the psu will flicker on/off repeatedly. The computer will not boot. It seems to stay that way until I hold the power button in until it turns off.

No new software or hardware was installed as this started happening.


The system is:
NZXT Tempest Crafted Series CS-NT-TEM-B Case
OCZ GXS 850W PSU
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P P45 775 Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 775 12M Processor
XFX GTX285 1G Black Edition Video Card
Mushkin 2gx2 1066 DDR2 Ram
Western Digital 640G 7200 Hard Drive


I've tried:
-swapping out the psu
-swapping out the video card
-swapping out the ram
-reversing the front panel power button's connection to the motherboard
-taking the battery off of the motherboard for a few minutes then putting it back in
-putting on new thermal paste and re-seating the fan
-different outlets/AC cables

I'm definitely no expert so any help at all would be extremely appreciated.

Do you have a case speaker connected to the motherboard? If so pull everything except for the CPU motherboard and PSU and see if you get 1 beep telling you you have no memory installed, if you dont then its likely a bad board.

Yeah tried that today and there's no beep sadly...

Anything else I should look for before bothering to replace it?
