Question After about 10-20 minutes of game time, computer crashes and red artifacts appear on screen.

I recently got back into Guild Wars 2, and since then my computer has been dying. over. and. over

I'll play for like 20 minutes, then all the sudden everything stops and there's just red artifacts all over the screen and I can't do anything but hard reset my laptop.

Since then it's started happening in other games as well! Though, in those cases, red artifacts flash on screen before the display goes black.

I've looked everywhere I can for help but nothing so far has worked, the two solutions I've seen the most are:

- doing a clean installation of NVIDIA drivers

- changing a specific power option in a Dell bloatware app.

The only thing I've noticed in task manager is that my cpu is using 89-96% while playing the game, which could possible be a part of the problem?

I'm using a
Dell Inspiron Gaming i7577
Intel i5-7300 HQ CPU
GTX 1060 Max Q

Sorry if I'm missing any important info, and thanks in advance.

How about the make model and age of your power supply?

Also we need to look at the temperatures while you’re gaming good because it could be a cooling issue

Install MSI Afterburner. Since you were on a laptop overheating is a huge problem while gaming. with laptops cooling is always an issue
