Question After CPU overheating /CMOS+BIOS resetting Graphic Issue (Only) at Startup.

I have recently upgraded my cooling system, but the old one had been overheating the CPU for a couple of weeks and I am afraid that could have caused some damage. What I experience is only a graphic issue, but since I am not using a GPU at the moment, I am worried the responsible could possibly be the Intel CPU (i6700K), I am still hopeful that it could be a Intel driver, or the BIOS/CMOS resetting that I have performed (at first I couldn't get the system to boot, so I tried a few things out of desperation... In the end I believe it was just a disconnected cable) -

Anyway the problem that I get is that now when I first boot my system, I get to my to desktop but it's very small in the center of the screen (not sure if I can upload an image here) However by squeezing my eyes I've always managed so far to get to the "restart" tab and by restarting it everything goes back to normal (temps are normal too). I don't seem to have any performance issue. At the very worst I could just buy a small GPU, but for now I'd like to have opinions about the issue. Thanks in advance.

Try reinstalling drivers first. Then set resolution i windows.

Thank you, I've done that and for now I didn't get that issue. I'll let you know if that happens again.

Nevermind everything INTEL is now up to date but it has done it again. At first I couldn't recover from"Sleep" but after messing around with my keyboard (and the displayport plug on the mobo) somehow I've got the video and the video is a mini image of my desktop in the center of my ultrawide screen.

Maybe by resetting the BIOS/CMOS I brought back the software to a version that was not too familiar with widescreen monitors? (Does the BIOS even need to know what resolution my monitor is to wake up from sleep? Isn't that a Windows feature?). By the way I used to be able to just wake up from sleep by just touching the keyboard, but for a few months now that wouldn't work (Maybe a Windows update corrupted something?) -

In any case by just moving the mouse around on the mini desktop I can restart it and get everything back to normal... That doesn't make it look like a hardware problem, but no idea how to fix it.

Windows sleep is pretty messed up.
