Asrock 970 extreme 3 rev.1
Amd FX 6200 (swapping to an 8350)
16gb ram
Geforce 950ti

So, my cpu was bottlenecking my gpu. I decided I should upgrade what I could.... so I got the fx 8350.

Did the bios update (yes I know the asrock extreme 3 rev 1 has VRM problems with the 8350... I’m in a 60* trailer, liquid cooled CPU, and 8 fans in the case.... it stays cool enough to run fine.) and set it to defaults, then reset the pc.

Upon swapping the 6200 out, for the 8350, all the fans spin, hard drive spins up, and a 2 mili beep happens, but that’s it. No boot, no bios, no signal to the mouse or the keyboard (they are chromas).

So, I swapped back to the 6200.. nothing changed, still alive, but brainless.

Decided to do a full hard reset. (With the original 6200 cpu) Unplugged the rig, held the power button for 2 minutes, Moved the jumpers to clear the CMOS, and removed the mobo battery. Let set for over 8 hours just to be 1000% sure.

So, this afternoon I tried to boot, and nothing changed. Fans spin, two quick slight beeps.. (almost inaudible), Hard drive spins up... but that’s it. It still won’t boot, won’t send signal to screen, keyboard, or mouse.

I do have a new motherboard on the way (one that works the 8350 just fine), but at this point, I cannot lose the current motherboard. Nor can I afford a dead Pc. What the hell happened, and what do I do?
