Hi

I disabled SMT in bios but still al the cores are enabled and working. I made a power cycle like sb wrote on asrock forums, but still nothing.

I have Asrock AB350 Pro4 motherboard with latest bios.

My mobo is dead or what?

SMT would only disable hyperthreading. So you should see 6 "cores" in Windows task manager for a 2600 or 3600 rather than 12.
I have seen issues where disabling SMT didn't do anything. A BIOS update was required to fix that.

After disabling SMT i see 6 cores and 12 thread in widows and in all software like Aida64. My BIOS is the latest version, can't update it. I have a Ryzen 5 1600.

The 1 game out of 20 that sees an increase disabling SMT usually does so when given 24-32 threads, vice merely 12...

I read a lot of post on the internet that SMT off can help a lot beacuse Ryzen 5 1600 is a piece of *** on single core performance. And SMT makes the singe core performance weaker. Everybody who turned off SMT got extra performance.
