Just as the title says: After formatting SSD lost space
Here's the story:
Had my Win10 OS on my Samsung 960 Pro 512GB.
Something went wrong so I had to format the SSD.
Now that I'm ready to re-install the OS on the SSD I notice that the space is dramatically lower than it should be. (Probably due to the harsh formatting programs I used.)
Original size of drive = ~512 GB, Size after I formatted = 476 GB, Missing GB = 36
Sure you could argue that the missing GB is used for important stuff to keep the drive running, but 36GB is too much.

Notably, Samsung Magician reports that there's 111MB of used space on the SSD.
I'd love to get the original size back, if I can recall it was around 500GB with all the Samsung stuff on it.
BTW Samsung Magician's 'secure erase' doesn't restore the lost GB. It appears when I formatted the SSD most of the functions of Samsung Magician were lost. I would also like to retrieve those functions.
