After getting a new gpu my screen will turn black randomly for a couple seconds at a time?

I've only had this problem since i got my new gtx 750. it is seemingly at random and can happen even when sitting on the desk top. it isn't regular and isn't often. a few times a day maybe(i am admitedly on my computer alot). It can occur whether im on the desk top, browsing the internet, or playing a game.

What are some problems that could be causing this? it is just a minor annoyance until it happens while playing a fast paced game. can't shoot someone if you can't see em ya know?

i have my nvidia gt 610 with a 19.5 inch TFT monitor, but after I upgraded my desktop with amd fx 8320 and with an asus 97 board with the same graphics card,,,the problem showed on my desktop a couple of times...I think the problem is on the graphics card or monitor...But, since you have upgraded your gpu, the problem can be in the monitor...try upgrading that too
