After GTX 1060 Driver Installation, No Display Output.

After 3 days of troubleshooting, I've finally decided to bite the bullet and make a forum post in a last-ditch effort to find some solution.

After I install Nvidia's drivers (more accurately sometime during the install), the screen just goes black. The computer is still running (fan lights on, I can hear system sounds, etc.) but only a black screen is being outputted. Rebooting into safe mode removes the problem (since the computer uses windows' basic display drivers) but that hasn't been able to help me at all. Interestingly enough in safe mode I can still use the dvi-d port on the gpu to use the computer. This makes me think it's a driver problem, not a card/incompatibility problem. I've tried everything I could think of, installing old drivers, completely deleting everything Nvidia, reinstalling, using old driver installs, system restore, etc. I need help; this has been frustrating me for days and I have no idea what to do next.

My specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
GPU: MSI Geforce GTX 1060 6gb VRAM

Any help would be seriously appreciated.

I haven't contacted support yet, talking on the phone with someone didn't seem like something I wanted to do unless I really had to, but at this point I think I'll be talking to them soon.

I got this card new from newegg, and while I didn't check specifically, I think it's safe to assume it's new.

I don't know my exact PSU model, but I'm pretty sure it's a gigabyte 650w PSU. I don't think it's the PSU since the card runs (with lights, etc.).

Edit: Just opened my computer to check, it's an Antec EA-650 Green 650w PSU.

Update: I feel like an idiot.

Turns out, the problem was the connector I was using. I think there's still some sort of driver error, but switching my output to HDMI solved the problem. Although, it means I have to use a crappy low-resolution monitor, so it's still a problem, but now I can actually use my machine.
