Seems like it's problem after problems for me lately with my PC, what a nightmare...

Basically for some reason after installing a new PSU after my other one apparently crapped out after a power outage, my PC won't boot past the BIOS screen.

At the ASRock UEFI I go to "advanced" and "storage" and for SATA3_0 and all of the things below it, it says "Not Detected", so i'm assuming this means my Motherboard isn't detecting my hard drive or something?

I left my old PSU cables in at first and it was having this problem. I used the new set of cables for the PSU and the problem persists.
I made sure to plug out and plug in the cables that connect between the HDD and the motherboard and still no dice.
I reset the BIOS by clearing the CMOS (ejected the battery for a minute) and still nothing.

I don't think the motherboard is shorted or something? It had no issue detecting my hard drive before I replaced the PSU I believe (Though I left it with PCW beforme I last tested that), and yet I can't think of a reason why this is happening. It seems like everytime I think i've fixed a problem with my PC another one pops up and i'm back at square one...

If you used your old cables with the new PSU , there could be some damage from that. You can't mix and match PSU cables. It could damage drives , motherboard etc. You need to only use cables that came with that specific PSU.
So i've likely completely and utterly screwed myself then?
