After installing a second m.2 windows 10 will not boot anymore.

I've recently tried installing a second m.2 ssd(crucial 500gb) into my asus rog z370-E mobo. Got it installed and tried booting windows 10. I made sure my boot order was win boot manager (my primary m.2 has win 10) then it fails to boot and says that a recent hardware install isn't allowing win to boot. Do I need to remove primary boot m.2 and install only my new m.2 and install windows on that as well? Or any other fix would be appreciated.

Solution
Is your ssd a PCIe or sata m2?

You have one port which is m2 PCIe only and on port that can take both PCIe and SATA.

Also look out that you are not using sata ports that conflict with the m2 ports.
