After installing new GTX 760, COD: Ghosts, Extinction crashes to desktop (DEVICE REMOVED error)

Hi everyone,

Firstly, this is my first post on this forum, so forgive me if I've made any mistakes!

My computer is as follows:

i5 4670k
GTX 760 (Recently upgraded from GTX 650)
8gb RAM
128gb Samsung SSD
Windows 7 64-bit

And here's my problem:

This time last week, I could play COD: Ghosts Extinction with no problems at all, using the setup above but with the GTX 650 installed.

So I decided to upgrade my graphics card, and got the GTX 760. After installing this and performing a clean install of the new drivers, I proceeded to see what difference my shiny new graphics card had made to the in-game graphics.

I loaded up Extinction, but as soon as I had set the drill down, the game froze, screen went black, and then it crashed to desktop with an error message along the lines of ERROR DEVICE REMOVED.

I've tried playing in safe mode, reducing resolution, reinstalling the game, reinstalling the drivers, and still none of this works. Sometimes I get the ERROR DEVICE REMOVED error message, other times I get the 'this driver stopped responding' error.

I've tested the graphics card on Skyrim, and seems to work fine, but I'm sure the graphics card is the problem, because I could play COD fine with the GTX 650.

I had this problem with DA:I it was caused by me overclocking it too much... Have you happened to of overclocked it?

Currently re-downloading and installing COD again - will update.

I haven't overclocked the graphics card, but it is an EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 Superclocked ACX 2GB GDDR5 Graphics Card. I was having these issues from the start with the graphics card. Have however since downloaded MSI afterburner, and tried increasing voltage, and also under-clocking it, but this didn't make any difference.
