Hello!

I have an old GeCube Radeon 9550 graphic card and I'm having problems with the cooling fan.
I use the card in an old socket 462 system, that work just fine for office and web surfing tasks, but that's not the point....

Can you please suggest an after market replacement fan or heat sink and fan assembly that will work with this card?
For the time being, price is not a concern....

Thanks in advance for your help! :hello:

The thought has crossed my mind....

I wonder if a Radeon X1650Pro would not be too much for such an old system...

But, getting back to the subject... any suggestions for a cooler?

I do have other uses for a cooler should I decide one day to replace the card.... or the whole system...

I'm assuming you've got an AGP card?

Avoid the the current x1650Pro Agp cards from sapphire and a few others. They're a not as advertised, actually just regular DDR2 x1650 cards overclocked and with big obnoxious fans that draw more power than they should.

I already made that mistake on my old socket A sempron rig *sigh*

Anyway I agree with obsidian that the best choice would simply be replacing the card for a new(er), cheap agp card. Just about everything on the market will run circles around a 9550. I picked up a nice AIW 9600 pro with the tv tuner a while back for really cheap (maybe $40?). Check all over before you make a purchase, there are some really good deals to be had on old AGP cards.
