Anyone out there with a GA-1975x have suggestions for HSF's that fit this motherboard. I want to get a Scythe Ninja for it but am worried about it fitting because of the little wind tunnels. Let me know what people have used with this board so I can get a sense for what fits and what doesn't.

Thanks a bunch.

I'm using a coolermaster aquagate liquid system with this mobo. I suggest it if you have 2 5.25 bays to spare. It cools way better than air and can be found for around $90. (www.excaliberpc.com) If you really want to go air, I know for a fact that the zalman CNPS9500 fits it. This baby is huge so I think if this fits most other will too.

Nice :) How much do you have yours OC'ed? And how are the temps?

I'll be putting in a P4 3.8Ghz 2MB, and 2x512megs Corsair XMS2 5400 675 at 3-3-2-8. And cooled with a CNPS9500, modded with a 120mm fan, and some extra copper fins. I expect I'll be removing the 2 fan tubes in the G1975X

Would you happen to know if it will acknowledge PCI video cards? I've read that some newer boards will only accept PCI-E for video

couldn't tell you about the PCI. However, I have a D 805 OC's to 3.6 right now at around 48-50 degrees. It took all of 20 minutes with easy tune.

A good selection of using liquid cooling system. But I suggest you choosing GA-G1975X-C vesion that do not have the two 5 cm fan on the back panel. This is a slient Edition of GA-G1975X version. I think you can build an HTPC if you choose this motherboard

that a nice OC! 😀 and some nice temps too. I'm glad to see I have the same RAM as you, so I know it's compatible with the board.

i looked for the -c board when I was ordering mine, and I couldn't find that board anywhere. Even the g1975x board was sold at very few stores.

I might get my board tomorrow 😀

RMan...

How easy was it to set your Corsair XMS2 memory? I keep running into problems when I set the timings to 3-3-2-8-auto.
The boot screen either keeps reloading the boot initial screen, or i get a OC error.

I'm going to try 'optimal settings' and then set the timings manually thru EasyTune..

speaking of memory, I am confused ( new to building my own rig). gigabyte recommends DDR2 667 for this board, but I see you guys are running different ones. I want to spend anywhere from $150-$250 on 2 gig worth of RAM (2 x 1 gig sticks) what do you guys recommend. I dont plan on overclocking, just stock.

I was thinking about this corsair value select. but if somethig else is better please let me know!

Also, EVERYONE seems to be out of stock on this mobo, and gigabytes website is down....anyone know whats up?

Thanks'
