if i take my stock cooler off i heard that the V ram and other things on the Video card will get hotter because After market coolers don't have the best air circulation

and i did not want to have to stick a bunch of heat Sinks on my Card like look at the VF1000 its nice but you basicly have to get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118038

so i just want to know if there's A VGA cooler that will be like the stock one just bigger and better but will cool every thing

Well yea, thats why card makers make sure the fan blows hot air out through the back and not into the case...

If you get the AC or zalman, the heat should not be an issue, unless you case has bad air circulation.. IF you have good intake and exaust fans you should be fine....

i have a big freakin scythe fan pushing air straight out just for the VGA

but there has to be some card Coolers out there that cool the Memory modules as well without buying extra crap

This is what I am trying to explain to you, if you want NO NOISE AT ALL you need a fanless heatsink... If you go with a Scythe or Turbo Twins you are just wasting your money, due to the fact they will emit the same noise as your stock cooler at 100% fan speed... so its a matter if you want 0 noise or keep the stock fan....

As far as upcomming coolers for the 4800 family I would not know, i dont use them....

the fan on this card is high pitch at 100% i have a Ultra kaze that is suppose to be one of the loudest case fans out there and the little Fan on my Card is 4 times as loud no joke

Well why is it loud @ 100% fan speed? are you gaming? watching high res movies?

If you are playing a game the volume should surpass any noise that is comming from the case... What is the exact reason you dont like the fan noise?

Hi all.

I just got an RMA number for my Visiontek 4870. The card never was reliable, producing sporadic crashes, but progressed to causing the system to fail POST or filling the screen with red blocks.

Soon after I got it I replaced the heatsink / fan with the Koolance VID-487. I would recommend these water blocks although be really careful with the thermal pads. The ones supplied were not the right thickness. The motherboard is a Foxconn BlackOps so basically everything except the memory is water cooled to a radiator / fan mounted outside the house.

I'm hoping they honor the warranty but indeed there was no way to re-use the congealed thermal compound that came with the original cooler. I used Arctic 5 instead. Seems to me that is the only way they could tell the cooler was removed.
