Question After multiple Hardware Crashes (gone now) My gpu is idling at 50-55C and gaming now goes from 50-60C to 70-80C help?

So after attempting to overclock my gpu which resulted in a few hardware crashes, I scraped overclocking to eliminate the crashes but my GPU is running extremely HOT now it used to idle at 37-45C MAX and gaming was only about 50-60C now it is 70-80C on the LOWEST game settings, when I reverted the overclock are some settings still wonky or did the hardware crashes cause some damage? Help.

to add to it the GPU load almost NEVER exceeds 60%
