After netbook upgrade, should I go with Win7 or Win10?

I'm trying to do my best with low budget to help a friend with an old Acer netbook with the following specs:

- CPU AMD C-50 (1.0GHz)
- 2GB RAM
- 500GB HDD
- Windows 7 Starter

I've replaced the HDD for an SSD and the 2GB RAM module for a 4GB one. To my surprise, Win7 Starter recognizes the whole RAM, but it's capped to use only 2GB. So, to benefit from the 4GB I'd have to upgrade to another Windows edition.

I have a valid license to Win7 and Win10 and would like to know which one would be faster/smoother (as much as possible with that specs), since now I have an SSD and 4GB RAM.

Solution
Probably little or no difference either way.

I have a Asus Transformer, 2GB RAM.
Originally came with 8.1. Now upgraded to 10.
Zero performance difference.

How to compare windows 7 with windows 10. Different structure, processes. Windows 7 is Windows Vista and Vista run on lower system requirements than Windows 10.
