Multiple desktops plugged in straight to the router. My PC is through a switch. Im currently getting 20mbps down and 1-5 up...the pcs plugged straight into the router are gettin 175mbps. All wired. I brought my pc closer to the router and plugged straight in and am still getting the same speeds. I assume it has something to do with my driver settings or something but not really sure what to do from here. I brought my pc to my office and the speed works just fine elsewhere only at home does my wired speed slow down.

Solution
Any Ethernet wall jacks or power line adapters involved? Somewhere else along the network wiring where there could be a loose connection?

Ensure that your network adapter is fully seated in place.

Try some more tests with and without the switch.

Check the DNS configuration settings via the network adapter's IPv4 properties.

Compare to another computer that is working.
Did you try another known working (i.e., "at speed") Ethernet cable?

Swap Ethernet cables around to ensure that the problem is not a faulty Ethernet cable.

Ensure that you only have one network adapter enabled on the slow PC.

Windows 10? Run the built-in trouble shooters. They may find and fix something.

Who manages your network router? You may need to work with that person to configure your slow PC's network adapter to match the router's configuration.

Use "WIN" + "I" > Network & Internet > Ethernet > Change adapter options to select and change the properties of your network connection/adapter.

Check everything first and do not make any changes that you do not understand.

Compare your slow PC's network adapter settings to another fully working (i.e., 175 mbps) PC's network adapter.

Then, when ready, make only one change at a time and keep notes in case you need to change something back.

I used a known working ethernet cable and tried my cable in the other pcs that are working and everything was ound

Only one enabled and I ran the trouble shooting in windows 10 and it said it found nothing.

I have access to the management of the router

I'll try changing the properties and compare with the other Network adapters thanks for the reply ill get back once im home and try it.

Ran the troubleshooter again and got this message "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (DNS server) is not responding"
