I used remote desktop professionally and it seemed pretty cool so I thought
I'd configure it at home in case it came in useful.
I have a workstaion with XP home and a laptop with XP Pro. I discovered
relatively quickly that I could only connect to the laptop from the
workstation. All seemed to go very well. But afterwards I found I couldn't
log on to the laptop in the usual way. I went back to the workstation, was
able to remote to the laptop, closed the connection again and the laptop was
all right. At one stage on the workstation there was fleetingly a dialog
about a session being closed by an administrator (I am an administrator on
both machines).
After that I closed the laptop but now I am unable to log in - it refuses,
again, to recognise my password. I can still remote to it (using the same
password).
Both machines are set-up with multiple logins.
I have a wireless network.
I have tried numerous reboots of both machines and wireless hub.
I've searched the Internet...
What have I stumbled into, what am I doing wrong?
