After installing SP2 on XP pro, the system found an unknown device, RAID-
controller, where no driver can be found.
The curious thing is that this problem appeared just after a few days.
We got 12 identical systems and some with SP2, but just on a few this
problem is occurring.
I cant find a similar device on the good systems, its just an extra device
showing.

Any help appreciated,

Ben

I had the same thing happen, I do have a raid compatible mainboard but I do
not use the raid array setup, after this happened I installed the (in my
case) highpoint raid controller that came on mainboard disk/diskette. That
removed the "unknown device" and caution marker, even though I did not and
still do not use it.
go figure???

The RAID controller should be disabled in the BIOS
setup when not being used.
