after updating realtek sound drivers, my headphones do not show up in playback devices anymore

after updating my realtek sound drivers as they were about 2 years old, my headphones no longer show up in playback devices section. what can i do? only device that shows up is my monitor speakers

have you tried unplugging and replugging headphones?

rollback/system resore previous to update.
