Hello everyone,

So before I updated (keeping my files and settings) I had dark theme applied and I changed folder background (file explorer) to a really dark gray while files/folders text were white. After the update file explorer (main middle section) background remained the same dark gray but the text became black, even though the rest of the text is while even inside file explorer. And when I changed to the light theme, all colors changed except inside file explorer (main middle section), still black text over dark gray!! So now I can't use the storage because I can't see files and folders names and the advanced theme control that was there since Windows 98 (windows color and appearance) I can't find anywhere in the settings.

Any ideas to how to change the black text or the dark background?

Thanks in advence

How did you do this?

right click desktop
choose personalise
look in colours, in the Choose your colour box, is it set to Dark?

as that looks like the light theme with a dark background
No man. Light theme has everything white with black text. This is how dark and light theme display on my windows.. Everything change except the middle section in file explorer

How did you originally set the background to be dark? was it a registry change? Or did you use a program?

these may not help - https://www.tenforums.com/customiza...xplorer-windows-explorer-background-grey.html
Like I said, The changes were made on older release of windows. I've been upgrading my main PC's Windows with "keep apps and files" option so I might've done these changes on W. 8 or W.7 but I believe I made them on earlier W.10 release. There are missing options on recent releases of W.10
