after updating to XP, prior to which I enjoyed playing Alexander, I cannot get it to display, even when I set it to "800x600"

Problem getting Alexander to display

updating to xp? what was it before?
What is your computer spec?

Previously it was windows 98, a machine I still keep, as several of my games won't work on XP, such as Pharoah. Machine is:-
