I just helped my friend throw in a Ryzen 5 2600 as well as a 1060 6GB. The issue is, when the computer boots, everything seems fine and well, except, there’s no signal coming from both the onboard HDMI or the Dedicated GPU HDMI. After maybe 10 seconds, the keyboard and mouse’s lights shut off after lighting up. His computer has had this issue before, but we cannot get anywhere this time. I know the GPU is held in place properly, and everything inside the computer is dandy. I know with the processor that it works because the processor in it prior to the Ryzen was AM4 with DDR4 Memory. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Keep in mind the computer is not a year old yet)

Solution
OEM PC makers such as Dell are in the business of selling PCs not making PCs to be upgraded. A Ryzen 5 2600 likely won't work without a BIOS that supports it. Retail boxed motherboards have such BIOS updates, Dell hasn't announced support for new CPUs on that model.

I would not want to be the first one to try using an unsupported processor in that PC. Since that processor has no graphics ability, a video card would be required to get a display.
