I was installing some software with questionable legal status. I left it installing and went to get a bite to eat. Upon arriving back, I found a blue screen (not really a BLUE screen as in outside of windows) that said Win 10 crashed and had a sad face on it. After rebooting, it booted to a black screen, saying the boot drive could not be reached. I downloaded a Win10 installation media on a flash drive and tried to do a clean install, which informed me that the drive was locked. I also tried to boot in safe mode which didn't work. I tried to perform a disk cleanup command that also didn't work. However, after rebooting again, and selecting a boot drive, I found my ssd on the list. And it worked. But I HAVE to do this every time I boot up the computer, because when I try to choose a default boot drive in the bios, it doesn't show the ssd.
Can anyone help, please?

I am running win 10 pro and the bios is up to date.

Thanks in advance, and I hope you understand my tedious description of the problem.
