Hello. I spent about 10 hours backing my Hard drive partitions. I used EaseUS backup software. I did not backup one partition, which is just a storage due to lack of space on external hard drive. After backup was complete, the system went into sleep as instructed. When I woke up my windows, I tried looking at the image file but got an error. I also got an error with previously backed up image files. Fast forward, the image files were showing fine on another PC.
I restarted my PC, and the boot got into a automatic repair loop. After several tries, now when the system is going into automatic loop, I get a message that it cannot repair windows or sometimes I get the message that Windows were not shut down properly. In both cases I get options. I tried repairing MBR, which was quite fast. I also tried doing system restore in a startup mode. But it tells me that there are no restore points, although I know that there is. I also ran mem test, and it got stuck. I suspected it may be memory or video card. So I replaced both for my old ones. I also removed all the peripherals to see if that will help, and turned my PC on. But it didn't help. I do see a strange jittering white line for about 2-3 seconds when repair starts, them white shape of a box, and then repair starts again to show me it can't do repair.
My system is set up to accommodate 6 TB Hard Drive, by being structured as GPT I believe.
I was also thinking about recovering boot record partition but not sure which one of the little reserved partitions that Windows is using it the one I need.
After this whole thing happened. boot manager now has more options. One original option is no longer recognized, and I am asked to insert bootable drive. So I use other option, which has the Windows to go in the repair loop, that now quickly stops. When I tried to select Safe mode from one of the repair options, it starts to attempt to repair again.
I also tried bootrec /fixboot and it says access denied. When I tried bootrec /rebuildbcd it shows that it found 0 window installations.
Any expert advise would be much appreciated.
