After wiping hard and reinstalling windows 7 games seem to run alot worse, can someone help?

Well, when I reinstalled my windows 7(made a clean wipe of everything, installed all drivers) I arrived upon a certain problem. Games I used to play at ultra and very high graphic settings at 60FPS or higher, now run on 30fps or lower on medium or low quality of graphics, no changes have been made to my hardware(16 GB ram, i7-4790, gtx 960). Can anybody help me?

I suggest upgrading to windows 10, its still free to do so here. since it s clean install, it will upgrade all those old drivers you reinstalled on your win 7 box.

I want to do this without upgrading to windows 10 and plus it was working completely fine without windows 10 in the first place :\

Use DDU to uninstall every single GPU related driver and install them anew.

GOD I AM STUPID! I plugged the monitor cable into the GPU that came with the motherboard, not the gtx 960, DAMN I AM BLIND, ty for the assistance anyway
