I have been quiet for a long time on the forums and keeping my self relatively up-to-date with current faux pas of computing but I am Now in some need of help. I am about to start a whole new chapter in my life I am off to uni at the ripe old age of 40 and I need to sort my self out with a computer for my engineering degree its a 6 year course so I want it to last the whole duration with as little tinkering and messing with

I want all new parts and don't want to break up my old rig as that's going to be kept as my entertainment and relaxation

I have about 2k to spend on it please help me out

Will there be any gaming involved and you are located in the US or UK I'm guessing?

UK and no gaming but it will need a beefy graphics card for rendering and blender

I believed it was more widespread than just i9 if that's the case that's brilliant
same ive read its across the whole range 14600 and up just the i9s faired worse than lower lvl CPU's ..

at this point id stick with a 7800x3d or if its not in the budget 7700 non x and spend more on a decent GPU something 12gb or more steer clear of any 8gb crap !!

this is what i came up with again i havent looked really into high end parts before. i have never had this chance to go all out on a pc before. i have always spent a lot more time looking at low budget and getting the most for the least so i kind of want it to be special as its going to be my hub for 6 years of learning

Don't buy 2 separate kits of memory if you need 64GB then buy a 64GB kit. Use the motherboard's QVL to pick the memory.

You would actually recommend that cpu for Blender eh. Explain please.
