Aftermarket MSI or GIGABYTE cooler

I'm planning to get a gtx 780 ti in the next couple of weeks and i'm not sure between these two cards on what i should get... Anyone have any info or comparison reviews for either card?

not those two cards specifically but it does compare the gigabyte to and EVGA and the reference card.

Both are great if you ask me, but I, in my opinion think the MSI does a better job at cooling but with the cost of being a tad bit louder by a very small margin not to mention it's much smaller. Not to mention I belive MSI's PCBs are much better overclockers than Gigabyte's PCBs. Both are great if you ask me.

I guess I should mention I plan to overclock it myself, do you guys know if either of these, or any cards for that matter have unlocked voltages for the 780 ti?

MSI is your best bet if you want to overclock

apart from a great software the msi loses to the gigabyte in not only noise and temps but also in clock speeds

Those links show the MSI card being 6c cooler at full load and same noise output as the gigabyte... They were able to OC the gigabyte slightly higher but the results show the same FPS, i think one showed the gygabyte as being 1 fps faster like 101 vs 100 fps. So from those links it actually shows me that the MSI would be a better buy with it being about 10% cooler with pretty much exactly the same performance / noise level as the gigabyte.

The thing is neither of these cards are modified other than after market OC and the cooler... so overclockability is just luck of the draw and has nothing to do with the brand name. So based off of that I'm going to get the MSI due to the better cooling ( as shown in the links you provided ) Thank you all for the help!

That's not true.

Certain MSI Models have their own PCB such as the HAWK models, which contain dual BIOS, some that unlock voltages and such. For example the GTX 760 HAWK is able to reach 1.4Ghz clock because of the unlocked voltages while other aftermarket cards are unable to do so. Im not sure about Gigabytes PCBs

I know cards do exist that have modified PCBs and such (thought it was pretty clear I was only talking about the 2 cards being discussedin this thread)... But none of the gtx 780 ti's do at this time... My comment was ONLY about the gigabyte windforce 3x and MSI gaming gtx 780 ti's.... So in fact what I said IS true...
