I once programmed Forte Agent Newsreader so it would NOT keep track
of all the msgs i read and therefore keep the space in the Agent
folder to a minimum since space is critical here

Can someone remind me how?

It kept the messages but didnt keep read msgs in memory

thanks

Click on the Group menu, then select Default Properties, then have a look in
the What to Purge and When to Purge tabs. It looks like what you're wanting
to do is setup Agent to "purge read messages", "with bodies", "on every
purge", and set Agent to purge "when closing Agent".
