Is the free security suite being offered by Agnitum effective?

It's only weak point is the frequency and timing of the updates to the installed antivirus database.

The Pro version gets updated as soon as the update is released, which may be several times a day, so you're PC is always protected against even the very newest viruses.

The free version, on the other hand, only gets virus updates once a day so there's is a small risk your PC could be infected with a new virus that your Agnitum virus database doesn't know anything about until you get the next update the following day, by which time the virus may already have infected your system.

It's still better than having no protection at all.

I use the free version Comodo Internet Security because the the only thing that's different with the free version (compared to the Pro version) is that you don't get priority technical support via online chat with their support staff.
I don't envisage ever needing that because I've been using Comodo for 4 years without any problems I couldn't fix myself.
