I'm new to this forum but I have searched and not found an answer to my question.
So, I would be grateful if someone could tell me if a Radeon 9600 Pro will work with a Soltek SL-67FV1 (VIA Apollo Slot 1, vt82c693A+686A 133FSB) MB, that'd be great. I've looked around in lots of webpages but the results are confusing. ATI's webpage for example says in one place that, Yes it'll work!, and in another place that: No, it won't.
Somebody enlighten me, please...

That's a PIII mb, right? Unless it has AGP 4x support, then no, it won't, but you might not want to use it with a PIII anyway because the processor would be a major bottleneck. You'd probably want at least the equivalent of an AMD Athlon XP 1600+ or so.

These days, no matter what company you like, be it nVidia, ATi, or whatever, no matter how logical your reasons, you're labeled an idiot or a fanboy, or both.

It's a PIII board although according to VIA it's supposed to support AGP4x. I've studied these pages but they don't make me much wiser.

Anyone knows anymore about this?

Also should mention that I'll upgrade my system soon to a I865PE-based Mobo with a PIV 2.4C, it's just that I'm gonna get the Radeon before that so I want to know if it'll work with my current system
