If a mobo has a AGP 8x pro, how is it different from AGP 8x. Will the agp 8x slot be able to support a 8x pro graphics card.

Also by PRO he doesn't mean ATI Radeon 9XXXPRo cards, it's Professional AGP PRO 50 and AGP PRO 110 cards.

The reason you're seeing more AGP PRO slots coming on 'regular' Mobos is the power of those systems now is enough for serious apps. So people can sim[ply pop in their old WildCat, FireGL or Quadro cards into these 'cheaper' rigs and get increased performance over their old systems without the hassle or expense of a new card or more expensive Mobo.
Since the AGPpro slots are compatible with NON-PRO cards, why not, it likely doesn't cost THAT much more to add, and gives greater flexibility.
