So, recently I decided to dual boot windows xp alongside windows 10. After reading up how to do it, I realized I would need some AHCI drivers to get XP to recognize my drives. I put the Intel Matrix Storage Manager drivers from Intel's website on to the XP install using nLite, but it still wont detect my drive. My motherboard is an ASUS P8H61-I R2.0, which from what I know uses an Intel SATA controller. I can't use the method of changing to IDE for the installation, because I'm using EasyBCD to create a entry in the OS selection menu to launch the setup directly from the modified ISO. I've tried using a USB to install using Rufus, but I just get a blinking white line when I try to boot to USB, and I've tried it numerous times with different USBs. Anyone have any clue why the drivers aren't working?

you might be better off installing xp first and then get windows 10 to play nice.to my mind tho, this is an exercise in futility.unless you have a real need to run xp why do this?xp is dead, there have been 5 operating systems since then.i was a staunch xp user and even i havent used it in almost four years.
