Ahci VS Raid [which one]

Hello which one i will select to :
Asus rog raidr express pci-e 240gb for boot
3 tb baraccuda seagate for backup and one dvd writer
which one for better boot times and perfomance?

if it is a PCIE SSD it has nothing to do with your SATA controller settings.

RAID is always an option though, and supports all ACHI commands. there is no requirement you run only RAID arrays when set to RAID mode, but if you won't run at least one on that controller there is no point either
