Ahh, help me with this

So i have this conf:
motherboard: P7h55-m pro

CPU: Intel i3 550
GPU: HD 5670
PSU:550w
Memory: 2 gb DDR3

And, today i buy myself another 2gb of ram ( PATRIOT)

So i put it in, and the little clip won't go down,if you understand(srry for bad english), and i tought ok it will work, and i start my pc, but it just turn of about 5 sec, and then again off, and start again...
I take off that ram, and pc start's normally..
so my question is
Why memory won't fit into slot????
Is that the reason, of pc not turning on????

The new ram isn't compatable with your desktop board. It's registered, designed for server boards. Even if it fits, it can cause a no post situation. Use only non-ecc ram on desktop boards.

Well I did it , it just needed to be pushed just a little bit harder , and now it works perfectly
