Ahhh Weird Clicking sounds!

I'm hearing random clicking sounds on my computer! I looked in the volume mixer and there is 2 sources of sounds both say "name not available" please help me. This is the home computer, I had it for 5 years and it still runs like new.

could be the hard drive going bad.......... could be a wire hitting a fan blade.

unplug the speakers.

does it still make the clicking sound?

open up the case.

try to pinpoint the sound.

as SM stated it could be a wire hitting a fan blade... if that is the case just adjust the wires.

if its not... and its coming from the hdd area.. its a failing hard drive. and you should backup all your data immediately
